We are extremely pleased to announce that Drs. Warburton and Bredin are co-investigators (and lead BC investigators) on a national grant of $2.4 million as part of the Coalitions Linking Action and Science for Prevention (CLASP) program. ACCELERATION – is an activity, smoking cessation, healthy eating and alcohol intervention, and motivation program – a model for the prevention of cancer and other chronic diseases.
ACCELERATION is one of five pan-Canadian coalitions funded by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC), Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Health Canada as part of the Coalitions Linking Action and Science for Prevention (CLASP) program. We aim to intervene with 3000 participants over 3 years including at-risk populations and family-and-friends. This will involve on-site (traditional programming) & e-platforms.
